My deepest condolences to Colin, Eric, Jake and Anna. I loved having tea with Beth when I would bring my kids down to my sister Jenn’s house. All the kids were still so young and would play in the yards while we all enjoyed our tea time. She was a kind and lovely woman and I enjoyed time spent with her. May you rejoice in the wonderful memories you have of her

Dear Colin, Eric, Jake, Anna, and Family,
Beth meant the world to me. She was an inspiring teacher, mentor, and friend whose impact will never be forgotten. Her students adored her, and I feel so fortunate to have been one of them. I’ll always remember what she told our class before graduation: “I am your second phone call when you get your first job—call your mom, then me.” She taught us to approach life with enthusiasm and resilience, and her wisdom shaped not only our careers but also our lives.
During class, Beth often shared stories about her time in Toronto and, more memorably, stories about Anna, Jake, and Eric—both funny and touching ones. She had a way of making every moment meaningful, and even after we graduated, she continued to support us, cheering us on and offering guidance. She truly cared about her students, not just as learners but as people.
After graduation, I was honored to call Beth my mentor and friend. She welcomed us into the Ridgeway community with open arms, visiting us when our children were born and sharing her advice and love. Her kindness, talents, and dedication reached so many, and I will always be grateful for the profound impact she had on my life.
I am deeply sorry for your loss. Beth’s memory will remain close to my heart, and I hope you find comfort in knowing how many lives she touched.
With love,
Meghan, Scott, Brandon, and Mallory Clark

My sincerest condolences to the Pett family. I knew Beth as she was good friends with my sister Frances. They studied Journalism at Ryerson University. She was such a bright light and she radiated positive energy. I also admired her for her intelligence and sharp wit. She just had the most wonderful sincere smile. Thats how I will remember her! She will be missed.

Beth was a beloved friend for many years, from the day we met in French class at Ryerson in 1977, until the day she left us. She was whip smart, kind-hearted, loyal and had an especially wicked sense of humour that I very much appreciated. We shared many laughs over the years and have many cherished memories. Our sincere condolences to Colin and all of Beth's family.

My sincerest condolences to the whole Pett and Schier families. I am forever thankful for the welcome Beth (the whole family) has given to my daughter Paige. I’m so, so sorry for their loss. I am sorry I did not know Beth in her prime; however I feel she must have been a very vibrant, loving and fun individual. She must have been, judging from the kind, loving, generous man (Colin), she chose to make her life with. I also know something of her character by the three fun, loving, resilient, amazing children (Eric, Jake & Anna) she nurtured and raised to be such outstanding young individuals.
I will always cherish the memories I do have of Beth and be thankful for the intersection of our lives.
My heart breaks for the whole family in this sad time. I can’t wait to be with you all and hug you in person! Sending much love and prayers.

Our condolences to Colin, Eric, Jake, Anna and your 3 beautiful grandsons. Beth was so proud of her family and enjoyed every hectic, crazy minute!
Beth was such a wonderful, inspirational part of my life for the past 50 years. Her wit and great sense of humour were taken from her far too early but we will always have our memories. I will cherish our friendship forever.
All our love Sharon and Wilf
