Pascia: Pietra (Mama)
Surrounded by the love of her family Pietra passed away at Gilmore Lodge, Fort Erie on April 8th 2025 at the age of 93 . Predeceased by her beloved husband Calogero “Charlie” in 2012. Cherished mother of Joe (Vanessa) and Sam (Lynn). Loving Nonna to Tricia-Lynn Pascia (Nicholas Crawley) and Bisnonna of Calogero Crawley. She will be remembered by her sister in Italy and all her family and friends.
Mama as she was affectionately referred to was a longtime employee of the Ontario Jockey Club and made sure that it’s patrons were very well fed and cared for, just like her family and friends.
Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave. Fort Erie, entrusted with arrangements. Friends may call on Thursday April 10th from 4 to 8 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday April 11th at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church at 11 am. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. If so desired, donations to St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to thank the staff of Gilmore Lodge and Dr. Scher for their outstanding care over the past number of years and to Dr. Csanadi for the care provided prior to Pietra moving to Gilmore Lodge.
