Obituary of Jack Green

John (Jack) Thomas Green, 89, of Fort Erie, passed peacefully on February 23, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones. Born on December 10, 1935 in Welland, John was predeceased by his parents and two brothers.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Jack was known for his generous and unwavering commitment to his family, and his faith. At the young age of 16 he entered the working world as a bank teller, and would go on to hold other important positions of work until the day he opened his own business, Greens Flooring. Jack was the perfect example of how it is never too late to have a dream and make it happen. Green's flooring was a staple in the Fort Erie community for 10 years until Jack retired.

Jack enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved listening to the Gaithers, watching the Bills and Leaf's games, camping, gardening, a good cup of tea with his wife, Sunday morning church service at First Baptist, and singing in the choir.

Jack has been reunited with his wife Lois and is in the presence of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus. Jack is survived by his children, Thomas Green, Karen (Barry) Boyd, Todd Green, his cherished grandchildren, Allyson (Marino) Strachan, Lindsay (Brandon) Wilkins, Adam (Megan) Boyd, Carlee (Mathew) Daley,  Kristi Boyd, Nathan (Jillian) Boyd, and his great grand-children, Michaela & Judah Strachan, Molly & Gray Wilkins, Drew Daley, and Wolfe Boyd.

Jack's kindness, laughter, and wisdom will live on in the memories of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7th, 2025, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist church in Fort Erie, with reception, and graveside to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jack's memory to his church, First Baptist.

Jack's spirit will forever remain in our hearts, and his love for his family will continue to guide us every day until we meet again.

A special thank you to the staff who took care of Jack during his time at Gilmore lodge. On behalf of our entire family, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for the exceptional care you provided for Jack. Your kindness, patience, and compassion made all the difference, and we are deeply grateful for the comfort you brought to him and to us.
