Obituary of Elaine Climenhaga

Florence Elaine Climenhaga - December 3, 1946 - February 9, 2025

Elaine passed away peacefully on Sunday February 9th, 2025 at Crescent Park Lodge at the age of 78.

Devoted wife to Bob (2025) for over 56 years. Mom to Shawn (1999), Juanita (Craig Everett), and Shane Climenhaga. Loving Grandma to Ben, Ella and Elijah Everett. Sister, Aunt and dear friend. Elaine is predeceased by her parents, two brothers, her son, and most recently by her loving husband Bob.

Born in Clearview Township to Gerald and Florence Cubitt, Elaine was the second oldest of six children. Elaine lived in Creemore and Stayner during her childhood. She met Bob while attending Niagara Christian College during her highschool years. Elaine and Bob were married in 1968 and made their home in Fort Erie, where they raised a family and spent most of their time. Mom had several jobs over the years, however she retired from Rich’s Buffalo and Fort Erie. Before and after retirement Elaine hosted craft night at her house on a weekly basis. It was here that she taught and guided friends on how to crochet and cross stitch.

Bob and Elaine could often be found at Tim Hortons in Stevensville, in Fort Erie catching up with friends, or having dinner at Green Acres.

Elaine spent the last several years at Crescent Park Lodge. We would like to extend a huge Thank You and heartfelt gratitude to all the staff that cared for Mom over the years.

Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Benner Funeral Services at 1105 Benner Avenue in Fort Erie, where family will receive friends on Saturday February 22nd from 11 am until the time of a service in the chapel at 1 o'clock.
