It is with sadness the family of Wendy announces her passing on January 30th, 2025 in Toronto in her 71st year. Wendy was born and raised in Fort Erie, Ontario. She was a student at Our Lady of Victory grade school, Fort Erie Secondary School and Annunciation School in Buffalo, NY. Wendy then ventured to Los Angeles, CA, residing in Glendale. She enjoyed friends and staff at U.C.L.A. Hospital as a medical transcriber. In the 80’s she made her way closer to home residing in Toronto. She spent her time there at Sunnybrook Hospital in the same profession, often working from home. Wendy is predeceased by her parents, Vern and Anne O’Brien. She leaves behind her siblings and their families, Mark (BettyAnne) O’Brien, Kim (d. Dirk) VanSchoonhoven, Amy (Al) Huntley. The family would like to express thanks and gratitude to the caring and compassionate staff at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital, Toronto. There will be no services as per Wendy’s wishes. A right of committal has taken place. In honour of Wendy’s love for animals the family would appreciate donations be made to a local animal shelter or a charity of your choice.
