Funny, after all these years, I never knew Uncle Clayton’s middle name was Marvin. But, I did know he was a warm, generous and devoted family man. Uncle Clayton and Aunt Gloria welcomed me to spend time with them when I was quite young. He would tell me about taking me for ice cream and walks. I can remember him tackling projects and puzzling out problems that he completed to perfection. He would work away at something for hours to save $2.00 but would give you the shirt off his back. We may have joked about him being ‘frugal’ , not spending on himself, but being generous to others. Remember the violins? If you wanted to ‘get him going’, you just had to mention the Avro Arrow! His counsel was quiet spoken but full of meaning. His smile lit up a room and his eyes sparkled when he laughed. His large family is his legacy. Uncle Clayton, you will be missed by many but wonderful memories will keep you close. With love, Marla

I'm so sorry to hear about Uncle Clayton. He was such a kind man. I remember them having open arms to us as children and helping my brothers Rob and Donnie and I adjust to our new home. Warm hugs to Aunt Gloria and my cousins. May he rest in peace.

Im so sorry to hear of Uncle Claytons passing. When I was a young boy we went to visit Aunt Gloria, Uncle Clayton and my cousins in Fort Erie. We all went swimming, I don't recall where. Well, atually I had not learned to swim yet. I rememember being plopped in the water while Uncle Clayton was holding the back of my shorts while I was "swimming" or rather flailing. I recall being very reassured knowing that he was holding on to me. I remember Uncle Clayton saying "your swimming, your doing it" repetitively,so much so that I believed that I was actually swimming.I guess I was because the next time that I looked back I was no longer being held by the shorts.May your fond memories of Clayton put a smile on your faces for the rest of your lives....Rob Earle
