I will miss Betty very much. I feel like this is the end of an era. We had so much fun in our visits over the last year and a half. She was a class act, and a role model for me and others. She did not hide her light under a barrel. She lived life to the fullest with her large family, church, volunteerism, generosity, art, and gardening. She packed more into her life than most of us would if we lived 5 times as long. She lives on in her family, and I'm sure she will light up the heavens with her enthusiasm. Until we meet again...

Mom and Dad created their Paradise at Ferndale Avenue and Mary made a miniature ornament of the house for mom’s last Christmas which is in this photo.
The picture of Mom & Dad is at Ferndale with Bethany, their first great grandchild. Mom and Dad loved their time at Ferndale so much that Dad always said “I wonder when the bubble will burst.” I didn’t understand what he meant then, but I understand now. My bubble has burst, Mom I miss you so much and my heart feels like it is breaking. You enriched my life and Walter’s beyond words by sharing our home these past few years. I will remember your love always. Love Margaret

My deepest and sincerest condolences to the entire Mindorff family on the loss of your beautiful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. When I think of the term "A REAL LADY", your mom spontaneously comes to my mind. When I think of someone that I have known most of my life who is "A TRUE PIONEER IN SOCIAL JUSTICE", that is truly your mom. When I think of an example of someone who is "A REAL DISCIPLE OF JESUS", that is your mom. When I think of someone with "A BEAUTIFUL GENUINE INVITING SMILE', I again picture your mom. When I think of someone who "IS NOT CONCERNED ABOUT THE LETTER OF THE LAW" but is much more interested "IN THE SPIRIT OF THE LAW", that is your mom as she would say it with a little smirk. I learned that from her in the 1980's when she along with some other families were actively involved with the refugees entering Fort Erie. When I think of someone who always inspired me to "DO JUST A BIT MORE", even when exhausted that was your mom. When I think of someone who "TRULY NEVER DID ANYTHING TO BE THE CENTER OF ATTENTION OR FOR PERSONAL RECOGNITION" but who's sole purpose was to "HELP, SUPPORT, TREAT ALL PEOPLE WITH DIGNITY,LOVE AND RESPECT", that is truly who your mom was in my eyes and in the eyes of all who knew her. I Know our loving LORD has embraced her in HEAVEN and has most likely given her "A FEW COMMITTEES" to work on along with your amazing dad.

My sincere condolences to the Mindorff family. I didn't know your mom all that well but given the wonderful impression her children made on people, she must have been a remarkable person.
