Lance Wayne Hill

 

March 12, 1959 – July 23, 2021

 

Loving father to Dean Cameron John, Lance Wayne II, Christopher Sager (Dawn) and grandfather to Sydney.  Will be missed by mother to his sons, Marion Sager.

 

Beloved son of Lois and the late Clark Hill.  Beloved brother to Darryl (Kim), Derek (Lana), Tammy Harris (Patrick), Sam, Verna George (Jonathon) and late brothers Hughie, Dean, Gene, and niece Kelsey.

Proud uncle to many nieces and nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.  He will be fondly remembered by his many extended family members, his friends and especially his best friend and god-father to his son, John Corry. 

 

Lance loved sports from a young age, playing baseball, football, hockey, and lacrosse.

He was a member of Local 43 Painters Union for many years.

 

Lance was a skilled expert soap stone carver from the age of 10 years old, with accolades in both Canada and the United States.

 

He enjoyed spending time with family and watching horse racing.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Road, Fort Erie, Ontario.

Visitation will take place on Monday July 26, 2021 from 6-9pm. 

 

Funeral will take place in the Benner Funeral Chapel Tuesday July 27, 2021 at 11am.

The family invites you to the Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre after the funeral for refreshments.

 

If desired, donations can be made to Team Kelsey Nights of Comfort (teamkelsey.ca) or the Arthritis Society (impact.arthritis.ca).

 

Please be advised that all COVID-19 restrictions will be followed.  Masks are mandatory within the facility and attendance may be limited should capacity be reached.
