Obituary of Sandy Merson

Sandy Merson, age 59, died after a courageous battle with cancer on June 2nd, 2021.

Sandy is survived by his the love of his life, Brenda, his beautiful daughters, Rachelle (Mark), Casandra (Jeremy) and Sidney. Also survived by Kathleen (Ryan) and Kevin. He will be sadly missed by brother Ken (Annette) and sister Anne (Al). He is preceded in death by his parents Sydney and Lois and brother Sydney.

Sandy was a great family man and a loving father. He was a social, active man who was an active member of the Fort Erie Legion Br.71 and often volunteered his time, including cooking his famous chicken wings. Sandy could always be found playing darts and snooker. He will be terribly missed by his family and friends at the legion and the racetrack

The family would like to thank Dr. Yelamanchili and the nursing staff at the Walker Family Cancer Center, Dr. Scher and the palliative care nurses at Douglas Memorial, the homecare nurses, Robin, Alex and Barbara and PSW Lillian for their compassionate care.

Arrangements entrusted to Benner Funeral Services, Fort Erie.
