While we are saddened, we also rejoice knowing that Richard is now in the arms of his Saviour. He left us on January 19, 2021 at the age of 74. His best friend and wife of 49 years, Bonnie, will gain strength from their two loving daughters Amy Nicholls (Chuck Buckley) and Suzanne (Roy) Fobert. Wonderful memories will forever fill the hearts of grandchildren Kaylin, Angeline and Ryan. He will be fondly remembered by brothers-in-law Charles Geyer,. Larry (Jean) Geyer and sisters-in-law Catherine Geyer and Marilyn Geyer. and their extended families. Predeceased by his parents Mary and Hugh Nicholls, brother-in-law Kevin Geyer and sisters-in-law Grace and Belva Geyer.

A devout member of The First Baptist Church, he was a member of Gideons International. Richard was a proud chemist in the aluminum industry, a safety manager for community college in Utica, N.Y., as well as an adjunct professor at that college.
