Obituary of Sherry Stickland

Sherry Stickland (Joslin), age 57, Fort Erie, Ontario, passed away peacefully with family by her side on November 25th, 2020. She is survived by her parents Douglas and Lillian (Prine), sister Mickey (Rebecca), her husband Richard, sons Michael and Steven, her daughter Ashley (Chris), grandson Carter, and nieces and nephews. Since childhood Sherry was an avid reader, and could usually be found curled up with a book. She found her calling comforting and caring for others during her 24 years as a Recreationist at Crescent Park Lodge, providing ideas, crafts and enthusiasm to better the lives of the residents. During the last 3 years Sherry took on the role of Recreation Director which she loved, but she would still find time to sneak out of the office and be with the residents. Sherry's family would like to thank the compassionate and caring staff at NHS St. Catharines and Walker Family Cancer Centre for their help over the last year and a half. Cremation has been entrusted to Benner Funeral Services. A private celebration of life will be announced in the future. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Cancer Research.
