Simpson : Elsie Mabel
Reunited with her husband George and her son James, Elsie’s journey spanning over 96 years came to an end on February 3, 2020.
Loving mother of Pat (Richard) McLennan. Cherished grandmother to Michelle (Jim) Connaughton, Scott (Colleen) McLennan, Jodi (Andrew) Simpson, Tami (Doug) Banfield and Lori (Wayne) Andrews, and proud GG of Taylor, Connor, Sophie, Emellia, Charlotte, Maddie, Gavin, Megan and Anna James. Also survived by her daughter-in-law Cathy Simpson, niece Bonnie Culp and wonderful circles of friends and supporters.
Proud of being born in Bridgeburg, Ontario Elsie worked as a Bell Telephone switchboard operator and later retired from Laclede Colour Cards with over 25 years of service. She loved baking, walking, Casino bus trips and playing cribbage, euchre and bingo and those she spent the time with during these activities. The worship and people at St. Paul’s Anglican Church were important parts of her life.
Elsie had an infectious smile. She cherished her family and all the great times. She faced the trying times with an incredible strength.

Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on February 15th from 10 am until the time of a service in the chapel at 11 am. A reception will follow.
