Schoonings, Amanda Rae Irene (nee Berrington)

Surrounded by the love of her family, Amanda passed away on October 30, 2019 at the Douglas Memorial Hospital after a year long, hard fought, battle. Loving wife and best friend of Joseph and proud mother of Ryan and Lukas. Forever in the hearts of her parents Gail and Bryan Berrington and her brothers Christopher and David. She will be sadly missed by her inlaws Joseph and Bonnie as well as her sisters in law Teresa (Blair) and Barb (Rob). Amanda was adored by her 3 nieces and will be sadly missed by her many friends who have supported her during her illness. Amanda was both competitive and compassionate, qualities that made her a wonderful teacher, coach and friend. A special thank you to Dr. Scher and all the wonderful nurses at DMH for their care and compassion.
